The Lighthouse

Two lighthouse keepers try to maintain their sanity while living on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.

A tale around madness, The Lighthouse is shot in a unique classic way of cinematography, with a very simple setting, and only two characters involved with great performances by Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson.

A younger and older lad have their working and jolly days, until they slowly start turning onto each other with more insanity, while horrific visions of monsters from the sea also turn up. It's up for interpretation here and there, and The Lighthouse plays with several themes.

This is a real artistic movie, well shot, directed and so effective, it accomplishes what it is conveying to me. The less said about this, the better it turns out to be. There is one disturbing scene which you have to see to believe it.

Why'd ya spill yer beans?
