Malleus Maleficarum

Highly detailed and the most well known book and look into the world of witchcraft.

Malleus Maleficarum, written by Heinrich Kramer and Jacob Sprenger, is a 15th century theological perspective at how to persecute, punish and judge so called women condemned and guilty of praticing witchcraft.

It's a very extended book of over 650 pages where justification, examples, religion and endorsement are covered, which basically means that witches are allowed to be exterminated. Contrary to popular belief however, it does not represent the major opinion, and yet it still inspired many to follow it's teachings.

Highly controversial even for it's time, followers of it such as crusaders used the book as guidance for several centuries. Many criticism back then, and obviously more than ever in present time faulted it, as Christianity and demonology among other categories contradicted it.

Malleus Maleficarum can now be considered a historical and disturbing look at how humanity's imagination can blend and conjure sins of complex fantasies projected towards women suspected of worshiping the devil.
