Downloadable Content: Hollow Knight

A year and a half year, I decide to replay my favorite indie based Metroidvania I have experienced so far; Hollow Knight. With it's vast underground world, art style and enticing gameplay, it's hard to put it down once you have the flow rush.

I had not tried the DLC packs yet. The Hidden Dreams contains 2 remixed bosses that get stronger the more times you beat them, while another fast travel ability called the Dreamgate is added, as well as an additional Stag Station.

The Grimm Troupe is a new quest that lets you hunt for red flames so that your insect familiar can consume and grow so that the troupe master can be satisfied. The main attraction here however is arguably the hardest boss to be found in the game.

The Godmaster Content however gives you the ultimate challenges. There are pantheons of boss waves awaiting you, of which the fifth one might barely be possible to defeat on normal playthroughs, let alone on the infamous Radiance mode.

Other than those, you are also free to individually fight any boss found in the game, while it adds more lore to the overall story. I got a completion rate of 94%, have defeated the true final boss Radiance and saw the majority of Hollow Knight.

However as said, Team Cherry might have gone too far with it's optional challenges, as Steel Soul mode, Radiance bosses and the pantheons are very tough, and brutal when all three are combined. Still, I most of all admire the main campaign, and I praise the developers for achieving this success.
