I have addressed the port behavior of Nintendo regarding the Wii U's library, and I have come to peace with it moderately. It will be less of an interest as a console for all of us, but I will attempt to keep playing the former exclusives on it, exclusively on the Wii U instead.
Almost 2 years later since it's launch, I bought the Super Smash Bros. edition of the Nintendo Switch, alongside that particular game, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Since I have been very busy game wise, please allow me to review each of them properly and in due time.
This latest console is a hybrid one, letting you able to play it in console, tablet or handheld mode. The versatility is it's main selling point, although in practice I will most likely play it most of the time on my LG C8.
The battery time and the suspense or sleep mode are other benefits and useful, as the longevity is long, and it's another testament to it's flexibility. The Joy Con controllers are well, a joy to play with, I'm surprised that I am able to control such miniature buttons, and I like the click sound when putting them onto the docking station.
An online subscription now also and perhaps finally exists for Nintendo, as Microsoft and Sony have used it for years. for a meager 20 euro's, you can commit to this subscription for a year, while getting free NES games. which don't interest me, but seeing the huge classic box arts is a nice touch.
It's also necessary if you want to play Splatoon, Super Smash Bros. or Mario Kart online. As far as normal applications goes, there isn't much, as only YouTube is viable, and that was apparently only available recently.
The graphical user interface is very simple, and I kind of miss the tunes from the Nintendo Wii and Wii U. The past eShop songs have also been better from what I remember, and you can acquire friends by sharing your friend code.
Nintendo Switch is a massive commercial success, although not the biggest in it's history. The graphics and other specs are still on a lower level than the other 2, but the innovation of Nintendo's hardware and software continues wonderfully, and it's exclusivity and replay value keeps me returning to them, as well as it's enormous history.
