A horror video game based off a media franchise also consisting of trading cards, comic books, toys and board games, Monster in My Pocket is an NES title overlooked by me, until now.
You are able to play as a Vampire or The Monster basically from Dr.Frankenstein. It's an action platformer consisting of six short stages inside what seems to be a house, and a section where you will re-fight all of the bosses in gauntlet style.
Gameplay is very simple, you can double jump and attack, that's about it. Interestingly, the backgrounds are larger than the characters, as if you are playing with monsters inside pockets! With limited continues, do be wary when your health and lives are running out.
Monster in My Pocket also has a 2 player co-op mode, and a rather unexpected final boss. Easy to pick up and play in a short burst, you can't go wrong with it.
