Mega Man Maker

https://megamanmaker.com/

To kill the time while playing the waiting game for the next Mega Man game, I discovered a level editor.

Similar to Super Mario Maker although on a much smaller scale, Mega Man Maker lets you use assets from most of the 8 bit games including part 1 through 6, and some stuff from 7 and 8 in 8 bit form as well.

It features a tutorial which is straightforward and easy to understand, as is the case for this whole editor. Most of the work requires dragging and dropping the assets, tiles and sprites, while your creativity is the only limit towards enjoyment.

Levels can be shared with others online, and you can play the levels of others as well. Although this essentially lets you remix the Mega Man games, it does not let you create new stuff. But what's great is that the controls and movement of Mega Man and the enemies are pretty much accurate for 100%.

If you are a Mega Man fan, especially of the Classic games, you owe it to yourself to try this out, and have some fun with it, if you think you have what it takes to create either fun levels, or painfully hard ones!
