Wii Fit U

I reviewed the original Wii Fit back in 2008 at IGN, and subsequently purchased the expansion towards it later on. This is in essence a new IP from Nintendo which although is casually constructed, it still is effective and worthwhile to me.

Wii Fit U is the latest release, where you have the option of combining it with a brand new Wii Balance Board, or simply re-use your old one. Additionally, a pedometer has been introduced to assist you during what is supposed to be your daily workout with it.

In practice, this is the best way to experience it. In my own personal experience, I really pay attention to it like twice a week. But when I do, I make sure in those half hours that I combine all of the available different kinds of workouts such as yoga, aerobic, balance, muscle and even dance trainings.

This time, the Wii U Gamepad can serve as a second screen, in where you can either see your virtual Wii Fit Trainer accompany you, or you can look at yourself in order to see trainings with more crucial details, such as which areas can be worked on.

This mirror mode function might just be the best new item Wii Fit U offers for me. Aside from several new trainings being available in each workout, the game comes with a lot of helpful tools and online connections such as Miiverse, setting up your own personal routines and plenty more options.

Wii Fit U works for me, but only if you are committed. It's obvious that gym equipment will tone your body in better shape, but for what Wii Fit U provides here with just a weight calculator sensitive movement board, a pedometer and imaginary as well as virtual training, I applaud Nintendo's design.

I also congratulate them for the fact that this is one of their most current profitable franchises, and I dig the friendly presentation and interface of Wii Fit U. Some games by the way, especially the dancing ones, require two Wii Remotes as well as MotionPlusses.

If you are dedicated enough to give this a try, you might find out for yourself like many others that not only can Wii Fit U work in many areas for pretty much any human(except for extreme cases or handicaps), it can also be an excellent assisting tool for when you are at home, or when you want to combine it with going to the gym, or in my case, combine it with martial arts.
