My thoughts on the first wave of downloadable characters:
Joker
Represents the Persona series, which is part of Shin Megami Tensei in the overall franchise. I have yet to play any of these entries, but Persona 5 is a popular game, and I suppose that the character was well received. As a fighter though, I dislike playing against him or playing as him.
Hero
Represents the Dragon Quest series, perhaps Japan's most requested one. Again, I have almost not played any entry, yet. Hero's most interesting move is being able to conjure several kinds of magic attacks using a traditional RPG menu to output them. I'm okay with him in general.
Banjo-Kazooie
A western favorite, very nostalgic for those that grew up with the Nintend 64 including me, Banjo-Kazooie not only represents his own series, but arguably also Rare and Microsoft, the companies that made this collaboration with Nintendo possible. His moveset is quite fun to play around with, although he does not feel overpowered.
Terry Bogard
Represents Fatal Fury and the King of Fighters, I can imagine that his recognition got more popular as people got to know him through his traditional moveset including special ones which can be triggered over 100%. Also bringing along a large amount of SNK songs, his inclusion is better than I expected!
Byleth
I might be biased, but some people would call Byleth not only a "waste of a slot" but for me, it also feels like Fire Emblem is definitely over represented, and Sakurai is a fanboy for it. Sure, Mario and Pokemon characters are plenty too, but those are more critical and commercially successful. Even though he is playable with some nifty moves, personally I would had wanted to see a character from a Nintendo IP which was either not represented yet, or very minimal.
In overall, I like them the most in this order: Banjo-Kazooie>Terry Bogard>Hero>Joker>Byleth.
Seeing as a second season of 6 downloadable characters has be confirmed, I am curious, but I was already content with the base release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Upcoming Promising Games in 2020
Again, only a very few handful of video games has me anticipated this year so far :)
-REmake 3-
An easy prediction in hindsight, this is an instant day one purchase for me. Capcom is by my perspective, fully restored regarding it's reputation, and I have given them all of my faith and expectations to once again bring me successfully to their world of nightmares.
Resident Evil truly is one of the best video game franchises out there!
-Cyberpunk 2077-
Having recently been delayed for another 5 months, a quote comes to mind; A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.
CD Projekt Red's latest is their most ambitious yet, as this cyberpunk open world beauty is riding hype cargo's of such caliber that they want to go beyond expectations. Perhaps even the developers behind the Deus Ex games are watching closely.
If this game is received with universal claim, then just like The Witcher 3, it will set a new standard for cyberpunk games to come.
-Final Fantasy VII Remake-
Another remake and ambitious project rolled into one, for several reasons this is happening. 1 is to please the fans of the old, and another is to attract newer generations towards perhaps Final Fantasy in general with it.
Controversially at first, this is split up in several parts in terms of blu-ray per release, I believe. The combat gameplay is also very different this time. But the plot, the setting, the characters and the music are all still familiar, and I remember the classic vividly, having beat it back in 2011.
I hope that the first entry of this releasing in upcoming march, will break expectations as well, and give Square Enix in general some much needed appreciation.
-The Last of Us Part II-
The long awaited sequel towards a game that objectively was praised around the world for it's emotional storytelling, it's survival gameplay and it's design full of quality, I am quite anticipating The Last of Us Part II as well.
Ditching the multiplayer, Naughty Dog will be able to completely focus on the single player, similar to the latest God of War. As long as they keep getting creative in regards to plot continuation, level design and features, then this sequel will be in great hands.

Upcoming Promising Movies in 2020
Not much promising movies have been announced so far for this year, but still, for now, there's a handful:
-No Time to Die-
Daniel Craig's final depiction of his performance of James Bond has a classic sounding synopsis where Rami Malek will play the main villain, composing will be done by Hans Zimmer, and the title song is done by Billie Eilish.
It's been quite a while since Spectre(2015), and as a lifelong fan of the franchise, I am pretty optimistic about this overall package. Naturally, I also wonder who Craig's successor shall be, and some rumors in the past have spoken of Idris Elba.
-The Conjuring 3-
The horror universe created by James Wan since 2013 has had several spin-offs focusing on singular horror figures, a sequel, and now a third entry is upcoming, while more spin-offs are in the works such as The Crooked Man.
These films do not bring anything new to the tables, but the main entries are proven to be well directed with creative scares and intimidating atmosphere, and Wan certainly knows how to spin around and keep things fresh, which is so hard to do for the horror genre.
-Godzilla vs. Kong-
Surely this will be nothing more than a long, entertaining popcorn flick, considering that a running time of around 3 hours was confirmed for it. But it has been 57 years since these kings of Western and Eastern creature features have fought for the last time, and there is potential to be found.
Filming technology has vastly improved since the 60's, and I wonder if the team will be able to sustain or overcome the hype surrounding this battle. As long as the main battle between them is great, everything else is secondary, including plot, human characters and eventually guest monsters appearing.
-Tenet-
An espionage sci-fi thriller with a time traveling feature involved, directed by Christopher Nolan. As I have said in the past, he is like Midas, turning pictures into gold screenings instead of silver, as his movies have always impressed me since Memento(2000) came out.
Not much else to say other than his reputation is carrying Tenet, alongside the eye opening trailer.
Honorable mentions for the rest of this year(so far known) are Interreflections, Wonder Woman 1984 and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

Final Flok Factory
To start off, I am announcing that this year will likely be the last one that I will be writing in this blog of mine called Flok Factory.
This means that I expect to be done at the end of next december, as far as writing blog posts goes, or sometimes I also associate it as an online diary. The "factory" is starting to become irrelevant, even for myself, as I have typed almost everything I wanted to spill out if you will, and I am running out of them.
Not only that, this blog of mine has been ignored almost entirely by the rest of the internet. In some ways I am quite impressed that I have been writing so long, for most of all myself. But as 2020 will become the tenth year I will be writing for this blog of mine, I think it's enough, and I have had a good ride.
Perhaps I will continue on in some other form, such as writing my own book, or starting a gaming stream, or a podcast, or...? Before starting Flok Factory, I used to be so active at certain forums too, and that died out back in 2010.
Anyhow, if this will indeed be the last year, then I applaud and praise myself for having written so much for the sake of sanity, attention, satisfaction, and more.
But first, let's get through this new year, this new decade, and this new beginning of new chances in overall!
